AM BACK

Its been awhile ,i didn,t realise i left it so long.Well i moved up to the $10 games on full tilt built the bankroll upto to $400ish over the course of 10 days with a 24% roi in the regs ,i can,t give exact figures as i lost holdem manager again(more about that in a minute).
I decided to try the $22 regular speeds went 4 - 5 first session ,some how i managed to reg with all winning players except two lol. Then i had a notion to play turbo,s on fulltilt i lost about 7 buy ins over one day nothing major and over a small sample.All i have managed to work out from this ,is fulltilt turbo,s are a little to fast for my likeings. I have not played over the past week or so due to a virus on my computer,i got it all sorted now so normal service will resume HAPPY DAYS.Unfortunately i lost holdem manager again ffs that program and me are incompatiable ,am going to use sharkscope to track results and my poker journal as normal.
I deposited $75 on poker stars yesterday and have been playing the $11.50 turbo,s nice structure in these not to fast not to slow.Current results 9-7 spewed off a couple of buy ins but i have settled down now and am ready to crush .I have left $274.38 on fulltilt .

COASTING ALONG

Happy days here in southampton,started playing the $5.40 regular speed 4 mans a couple of days ago and as much as i liked the 2 man regs am loving the 4 mans.
Even with the small volume i have put in this week ,my fulltilt bankroll has doubled to $225.16 .Not really sure when i will move up to the $10,s i want the extra money but i sure feel confident where i am.I have 20 buyins now for them ,i think am going to leave it till i hit $300 or there abouts i want a little variance cushion.May be i will stay at the $5,s for this month .
God i feel good about my game ,am still making some errors but playing the regular speed sng,s even when i make a big balls up and lose half my stack i know i can grind it back up before the blinds come into play.

Long time no blog

Well i haven,t gone bust,took a couple of days off after a couple of breakeven days/losing days(i did however get to 6th on the sscope leaderboard for $2 hu games).I got a bit sick of ipoker ,i had put $40 on stars with the intention of purchasing some hu video,s,so i decided to play a game on stars try the structure on there,i went to play a $2 sng i realised there still ripping of the micro guys %10 RAKE,so i loaded up a $6.25 turbo i played on there for a couple of days but although i love the software i didn,t really like the structure.I turned the $40 into $89 and withdrew it leaving $12 on stars.
I then turned my atttention to fulltilt $30 ,went up and down ,made a big cock up there ,playing 4 mans turbo,s $6.40 on a small roll busted it .NOTE TO SELF DON,T PLAY TIRED.
So redeposited with $40 straight in at the $6.25 turbo 2 mans ,DISCLAIMER although my bankroll on fulltilt was only 6 1/2 buy ins i had more $ on netteller and ipoker so still playing within bankroll.I won back what i lost ,but found myself getting a little aggravated with blinds getting high going to push fold and villians lucking out on me.So now i am playing the $5.25 regular speeds ,good results so far but very very small sample WINS= 13 loses =3 ,so we will see what happens.

So pretty rosy here at the moment,feeling pretty good about my game ,i have decided to cancel video purchase and basicly see how far i can climb on my own steam,this could be a mistake but until i think i have hit a brick wall ,will continue as i am.

SLOW AND STEADY

Gradually increasing the bankroll,slowly but surely.Results for last 3 days
Friday WINS = 7 loses = 2
Saturday WINS = 6 loses = 7
Sunday WINS = 6 loses = 3
Today WINS = 15 loses =8 all today,s games were two tabling.

So today marks the eleventh day i have been playing ,hu sng,s exclusively.Am feeling pretty good about my game ,i still got a lot of leaks to work on but at the level am playing at the moment $2 turbo,s i sure do feel confident.Even when i have a bad day i still seem to break even or lose a very small amount.Not sure when am going to move up, but i will have at least 20 buy ins for the $5 turbo,s as a minimum.I have no intentions of playing under-rolled
What am really chuffed about today is the way all the pokersites have got fundraisers for haiti ,in particular POKERSTARS who are doubling all donations made,considering how negative alot of people view poker and the gambling industry,this sure puts a positive light on it.Can,t wait to see how much is raised.

QUICK UPDATE

Tuesday,s games WINS= 13 loses=15 blaaaaaaaah played poorly and over aggressively
Wednesday more of the same really WINS= 12 loses=11

Thursday decided to really cut back on the aggression,and basicly try to win more small pots on the flop and just raise my top 15% of hands,and avoid difficult spots with marginal hands.So far so good.Also i have cut back on the number of games am playing,and concentrateing on quality over quantity.

Thursday,s games WINS= 5 loses= 1
Todays, games WINS= 4 loses= 0

Current bankroll £36.61 $59.07 finally playing a game i have the correct bankroll for ,long may it continue.

BRUTAL DAY

Yesterday was pretty tough ,started of going 0-5 played badly in two matches, lost two after getting it all in as massive favorite and one was a toss up.Now normally this would tilt me and i would UP stakes to try and recoup my losses, proud to say i kept a cool head and stuck with the $2,s.Finished that session 3-7.Took a break ,won the next 4 matches bringing me even minus rake.
I played a total of 43 matches over the course of the day , WINS= 22 loses= 21
pretty disapointed in my overall play ,also played 2 tables at once for about 20 games (definetly a bad idea )going to stick with 1 tabling for the time being.Am pleased i came out on top in the end (down when you include rake paid) and managed to keep the (FXXXING TILT MONSTER IN HIS CAGE).So even thou i lost money on the day it feels like a victory.

ANOTHER GOOD DAY

Quick update i played 13 games today WINS =10 loses =3 very happy with this ,feeling pretty good about my game at the moment. I notice am on the sharkscope leaderboard for hu games $2 and under so thats a first for me ,currently sitting in 10th place am going for 5th place or better over the next 3 days wish me luck.

Bankroll doubled

First session completed,started out at the hu $2.10 turbo,s not great bankroll management but i knew providing i ran average i could get things moving.
Played 10 games
WINS = 8 loses = 2
I did get very lucky in one game all in on flop with top pair decent kicker against villians two pair,obviously i lucksacked on the turn to make a higher two pair .One of the games i lost i played to passively ,but otherwise played well ,i don,t think am a great heads up player yet, but the guys am playing sure as hell are trying there best to let me win, long may it continue.
Not sure how many $2 games am going to play before moving up to the $5,s or how much money i need behind me,but am looking forward to completing my first 100 games.

Welcome to my new blog, am hoping by posting my results and thoughts on a regular basis to improve my game and share my journey with a few other people.
My name is justin i live in southampton ENGLAND, i am married with 4 kids. I have been playing poker for about 4 years ,full ring 6 max and heads up cash also all formats of sng,s with varying success and failures in all formats.
